Natasha Caragnano is a journalist specialising in international affairs, data-driven storytelling and fact-checking. Since 2021 she has been working for the leading Italian newspaper La Repubblica, writing stories and fact-checking user-generated content to create multimedia projects on international events such as the protests in Iran or the earthquake in Turkey. Fluent in Italian, English and Mandarin, she aims to highlight under-reported stories and raise awareness of pressing issues around the world through data visualisation. She graduated from Columbia Journalism School in 2024 with an MA in Politics, where she won the Jean Anderson Social Justice Journalism Award for her master’s thesis, “Till the last of us is free: Inside the Chinese Feminist Movement in Exile”.
